		<description>I liked this analysis.  It doesn&#039;t have to be correct; it just seems more level headed than a lot of the other &quot;Microsoft is Dead&quot; posts I&#039;ve seen.
I&#039;m not a huge Microsoft fan, but I can&#039;t picture something like Excel getting replaced overnight.  Even if it&#039;s just to support legacy apps, it would take a good five years to replace Excel and push it out of the market (if competitors targeted their apps for an easy transition from Excel).  Your point is well taken, though:  Office is an entrenched suite of apps, not necessarily one with a great potential for growth.
